Bran is a contemporary British artist who works mostly in oils focusing on studies of still life, portraiture and the human figure.

Bran pursues two parallel career paths - working as a Children's Hand, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital and as an artist. The development of these symbiotic crafts has afforded him a unique perspective.

His work is representational juxtaposing realism with abstract and graphic elements. His approach ranges from pure alla prima to a more layered indirect approach. Hence in a number of pieces different stages of the process are evident providing a technical narrative through the work.
